Partner Universities

Gong Fuchun
Doctor of Science (graduated from the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Hunan University) and currently serves as a Professor and Graduate Supervisor at the College of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Changsha University of Science and Technology. He has led or participated in 16 national/provincial-level projects, published over 110 high-quality research papers, and led 8 university-enterprise collaborative R&D projects. In the "High-Efficiency Dimethyl Ether Synthesis Technology" project, he developed the first etherification process based on a feedback regulation mechanism-this process increased the product ratio of α- and β-artemether from the traditional ~55/45 to 98/2, breaking the bottleneck of difficult separation and low yield caused by traditional catalysts; he also created a new one-pot semi-synthesis process for vinpocetine (integrating vincamic acid dehydration and esterification in a single pot to realize efficient synthesis), and these two projects alone have created a total economic benefit of RMB 2.5 billion for enterprises. Additionally, he has developed new synthesis processes and technologies for pharmaceutical intermediates such as benflumetol, galantamine, fibrauretin and guanine for relevant enterprises.
